Oleksandr Lisun (Alex)
Multi-instrumentalist, arranger and session musician. I play on many wind instruments (trombone, bass trombone, tuba, baritone, trumpet, flugelhorn).
I received my higher music education from the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts.
As an orchestral musician and a soloist, I have worked for the Cherkasy Regional Philharmonic symphony orchestra, the National Academic Brass Band, the Kyiv Municipal Academic Opera and Ballet Theater for Children and Youth and the Music Band Circus Nock (Switzerland), and passed an internship in «Teatro alla Scala» (Milan, Italy).
I am a teacher for wind instruments at Cherkasy Music College and at Cherkasy Children's Music School named for Lysenko. I am also a conductor of the symphony orchestra and brass band «Alex Band» of the Children’s Music School.
Music arranging is the most creative side of my musical activities. In this field I work in different styles (classical, pop, jazz, rock, Latin). I work with symphony orchestras, brass bands, choir, vocal and instrumental ensembles.
My biggest passion is Latin American music. I became deeply acquainted with the musical culture of Cuba, Brazil, Spain, mastered the style and rhythms of Latin America, and mastered playing exotic percussion instruments - conga, bongos, timbales, cajon and cuíca.
I channel all my knowledge and enthusiasm into the ensemble activity Los Corazónes Calientes (since 2009) end StageBand PARALELI (since 2020). I am a bandleader, arranger.
In my free time I do macro photography.
